How to find the Radio Tower

Starting out in Raft, many players may find that they are not even aware the game has a storyline to follow, using your journal is the key to figuring out why and most importantly, where!

The first step in Raft’s storyline is to reach the initial story island - the Radio Tower, this will begin the game’s story. To do this we’re going to need a few things first.

Radio Tower Raft Table

Research Table

You’ll want to get started by building a Research Table. Check out how to build and use the Research Table here.

Radio Tower Research Board

To get the ball rolling you will need to find and research the following items in the Research Table:

Scraps

Bolts

Plastic

Hinge

Plank

Vine goo

Circuit board

Copper ingot

All of the items required can be found floating in the sea or the ocean reefs surrounding various islands.

Radio Tower Salvage

You’ll need a Smelter to create items such as ingots, check out how to make and use the Smelter here.

Once you have the table set-up, you will want to find the blueprints for the Antenna and the Receiver by fishing up the big barrels you can see floating by in the water.

Radio Tower Barrel

Setting up the Raft Receiver

Now that you have everything ready to go, you’re going to need to place down three Antenna and the Receiver. This is best done on a second floor built on your Raft with the Antenna spread out as far as possible. Make sure you have slotted the battery into the Receiver slot too.

Radio Tower Receiver

Ready to receive.

Your Receiver will receive and input a code that will reveal the Radio Tower. Now that you know where it is, set your sail accordingly towards the ping and there we have it! Make sure you keep an eye on your direction just in case you’ve veered off course, keep your Raft anchored down when boarding the tower and always remember to turn off the Receiver to save battery power.

The Radio tower

Radio Tower Location

The Radio Tower itself once you have arrived will give you access to a plethora of new goodies. Such as a new character, new blueprints and a storyline continuation in the form of a new Receiver code.

Each update some new items and mechanics may be added to Raft. We will try and keep this guide as up to date as possible. If you have any suggestions, please let us know on Discord.
