Taking names...

Feb 15 2016 05:05 | Danneh in News

ATTENTION: all those loyal Pirate's whom have followed me into battle.. Its that time again!

We're taking names for those who are interested in some raiding again, no hardcore commitments, no serious hours of PVE to get the correct gear, but a group of people ready to raid hard again... In the coming weeks we will be gathering on our Discord server (See to the right of this page) and in game to discuss and train. Myself and Birdy will be doing the commanding, maybe even lead a couple of the main PG raids if welcomed :P

Add a comment to this thread with your in game account name and I'll get you added. We've got the YAAR Guild where we are taking names for now.

This should bring back some memories;

TF2 Community Game Night - September 7th!

Aug 27 2014 07:03 | Danneh in News

More Sunday night antics, this time we've taken advantage of the famous free-to-play team fortress 2.

When: Sunday 7th September @ 7pm GMT
Where: TeamSpeak Community Game Night Channel (pirategaming.co.uk. TeamSpeak is required, but don't worry, we don't bite!)
Game: Team Fortress 2 (Free-to-play on Steam)

Like its predecessors, Team Fortress 2 is focused around two opposing teams, Reliable Excavation & Demolition (RED) and Builders League United (BLU) competing for a combat-based principal objective. Players can choose to play as one of nine character classes in these teams, each with his own unique strengths, weaknesses, and weapons. Although the abilities of a number of classes have changed from earlier Team Fortressincarnations, the basic elements of each class have remained, that being one primary weapon, one secondary weapon, and one melee weapon.The game was released with six official maps, although 44 extra maps, 9 arena maps, 8 king of the hill maps, and various other map types have been included in subsequent updates. In addition, a number of community assembled maps have been released. When players join a level for the first time, an introductory video shows how to complete its objectives. During matches, "The Administrator",a woman voiced by Ellen McLain, announces various game events over loudspeakers.The player limit is 16 on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. On the PC, in 2008 Valve updated Team Fortress 2 to include a server variable that allows up to 32 players.

We aim have our very own private server for the duration of the event ensuring no randoms make it in to ruin our fun! Don't forget - all skill levels are welcome - you should know by now that we never take anything too seriously!

IMPORTANT INFO:

Make sure you've downloaded, installed, launched and optimized the game before we start. You definitely need to launch the game at least once before the event - there's a quite lengthy optimization process it has to go through when you first launch it.

See you on Sunday!
